Today marks 365 days since the UK first entered lockdown in a bid to defeat Covid-19. A year on we join individuals and organisations around the country in marking a National Day of Reflection to reflect on our collective loss, support those who’ve been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.

As we stand with the nation at 12pm for a minute’s silence we remember not only those lost to Covid-19, but also the courage, patience and resilience of the thousands of families POPS’ supports. Families who have been subject to powers beyond their control and who have had little to no face-to-face contact with their loved ones for the past year. We see you. We recognise the enormous struggle this time has been. We mourn with you the lost moments, the relationships under strain, the daily sacrifices.

We will continue, by every means at our disposal, to raise the plight of families in every circle we have influence.

Join us at 12pm for a minute’s silence, or at 8pm to stand on our doorsteps with phones, candles and torches to signify a “beacon of remembrance”.
